MILWAUKEE, Wis. - Milwaukee wins the 2009 Horizon League Women's Soccer Championships by a final score of 4-0 over No. 3 Valparaiso.  The Panthers will represent the conference in NCAA action as the League's automatic qualifier.

In the first semifinal match on Friday evening, No. 3 Valparaiso came away with the victory by a final score of 2-1.  Crusader sophomore Brooke Henderson scored the game's first goal in the 28th minute before teammate Jessie White netted the game-winning score just after the break in the 48th minute to put Valparaiso up 2-0. Raider junior Nicole Amador connected on a Jen Agueci assist in the game's 66th minute, putting WSU on the board.

In the second semifinal contest, the Panthers struck first on a Makenzie Gillaspie rebound in the 25th minute, putting Milwaukee up 1-0 at intermission. UWM's Sarah Hagen added the game's last score in the 73rd minute, making the final tally 2-0 in favor of the Panthers.

In the Championship match, Milwaukee ripped off three scores in the first half all by Hagen. Valparaiso held the regular-season champs to just one score in the second half also provided by Hagen, leading Milwaukee to its second consecutive and sixth League title in team history.
