INDIANAPOLIS -- Milwaukee’s Durell Busby (Canaan, Tobago) and UIC’s Matt Marzahl (Richmond, Ill.) have been named the Horizon League Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week for the week of April 16 - April 22. This is the second time this season the pair has won AOTW honors.
Busby, a junior for the Panthers, competed in the 110-meter hurdles at the Kansas Relays. He took first place in the event with a time of 13.90. Busby broke his own school record with that time and now stands tied for 24th in the nation and 14th in the region.
Marzahl competed at the DePaul Invitational in the high jump event. The freshman tied for first place with a jump of 6-4 (1.93m). He currently sits in sixth place in the Horizon League.
Milwaukee and UIC will be back in action this weekend at the Marquette Invitational in Milwaukee, Wis.
