NDIANAPOLIS – Milwaukee junior Aaron Dillon (Milwaukee, Wis.) and Oakland freshman Meagan Joiner (Macomb, Mich). have been named Horizon League Indoor Field Athletes of the Week for the week of Jan. 14-20.
At the John Tierney Invitational at the Klotsche Center in Milwaukee, Wis., Dillon nearly posted a career-best in the first meet of the season. Dillon cleared 14.90m on his final jump to record a first-place finish in the triple jump and was .30m off his personal best mark. The jump ranks 38th in the country. Dillon also competed in the high jump and registered a jump of 1.98m, good for second-place.
Joiner posted results in three events at the Jack Skoog Open, including a victory in the 600m. In field events, Joiner’s marks of 4.79m in the long jump and 9.87m in the triple jump were good for second-place finishes. In total, the freshman accounted for 11 of Oakland’s 45 points.
Milwaukee competes next at the John Craft Invitational on Jan. 25 in Charleston, Ill. Oakland is in action on the same day at the IPFW Quadrangular in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Colin Cashner, Detroit (Sr., Eastpointe, Mich.) - At the Jack Harvey/Red Simmons Invitational, Cashner posted a throw of 15.10m. For the second straight week, the senior has improved his weight throw numbers.
Jordan Kelly, Valparaiso (Fr., Crown Point, Ind.) - Cleared 4.50m at the Grand Valley State Invitational to move into second-place on the Crusaders’ all-time chat.
Christian Saporiti, UIC (Fr., Rockford, Ill.) - Set a new personal best in the shot put with a toss of 14.77m, good for first-place at the John Tierney Invitational.
Ashley Bussing, Detroit (Fr., Adrian, Mich.) - Set a personal best in the shot put, registering a throw of 12.21m at the Jack Harvey/Red Simmons Invitational.
Maria Harrison, Wright State (Sr., Troy, Ohio) - Turned in a 12.70m toss in the shot put and a 14.56m throw in the weight throw at the Northwest Ohio Invitational.
Nancy Harmon, Milwaukee (Sr., Skokie, Ill.) - Registered a first-place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 17.02m at the John Tierney Invitational.
Sarah Peters, Valparaiso (So., LaGrange, Ill.) - Posted a vault of 3.54m at the Grand Valley State Invitational to move into the top spot in program history.
Noelle Williams, UIC (Sr., Chicago, Ill.) - Placed third in the weight throw (14.85m) at the John Tierney Invitational.
