No. 17/14 Green Bay (25-1, 14-0 HL) clinched at least a share of its 13th-consecutive Horizon League title with a 77-59 win over Milwaukee (9-16, 6-8 HL) Saturday at the Klotsche Center. The regular-season conference title is the longest active streak in the nation.

The Phoenix is three games ahead of second-place Butler in the standings, which improved to 11-4 with a win over Loyola (69-53) on Saturday.  The Bulldogs have three games left in the regular season, including a trip to Green Bay, while the Phoenix has four left to play.  This still allows the Bulldogs a chance to share the title.

In 2010, Green Bay won the regular-season, but lost to Cleveland State in the semifinals of the championship tournament.  Butler also lost to the Vikings for the Championship Title.  The Phoenix did become the first Horizon League women’s basketball team to receive an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament last season, while the Bulldogs ended their post season with a trip to the WNIT.

The 2011 Horizon League women’s basketball tournament is slated for March 7-13.  The first round and quarterfinals will take place at the venue sites of the higher seeds, while the semifinals and championship will take place at the highest remaining seed after the quarterfinals.  The full tournament schedule is as follows:
