Oakland and Valparaiso both finished 14-4 to share the Horizon League men’s basketball regular-season title. By virtue of its head-to-head season sweep, Oakland has earned the No. 1 seed at the 2017 Little Caesars Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship, March 3-7 at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit.

Oakland 86, at Milwaukee 75*
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Sherron Dorsey-Walker sank a career-high eight 3-pointers for a career best 28 points and Oakland earned a share of the Horizon League regular season championship with an 86-75 win over Milwaukee in the season finale on Sunday.

The Golden Grizzlies (24-7, 14-4) ended in a tie with Valparaiso, but earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming tournament by virtue of their 2-0 record against the Crusaders.

Martez Walker finished with 21 points, including four 3-pointers, and added seven rebounds for Oakland, which shot 51.8 percent and hit 13 3-pointers.

at Northern Kentucky 82, Valparaiso 78*
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) -- Drew McDonald scored 23 points, Lavone Holland II made a pair of free throws with 2.3 seconds left and Northern Kentucky beat Valparaiso 82-78 on Sunday.

Valparaiso (24-7, 14-4) missed a chance to secure the top seed in the Horizon League Tournament when Oakland (14-4, 24-7) beat Milwaukee (8-23, 4-14), 86-75 later in the day. Oakland swept Valparaiso in the season series.

Northern Kentucky (21-10, 12-6) is the fourth seed after Green Bay (18-12, 12-6) secured the No. 3 seed with an 89-81 win over Detroit (8-21, 6-11) Sunday.

at Green Bay 89, Detroit Mercy 81*
GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Charles Cooper scored 22 points on 8-for-11 shooting and Kenneth Lowe went 7 for 8 and scored 16 points and Green Bay pulled away late to beat Detroit 89-81 on Sunday to earn the No. 3 seed in the Horizon League Tournament.

Green Bay (18-12, 12-6) beat out Northern Kentucky (21-10, 12-6) which earned the No. 4 seed.
Turner Botz buried a 3 for Green Bay to tie it at 75 with 5:09 left to play. That sparked a 9-2 run that allowing the Phoenix to take control the rest of the way.

Jaleel Hogan kept the Titans close, sandwiching jumpers between a Charles Cooper jumper with 1:59 left, but Detroit went scoreless the rest of the way.

at Wright State 87, UIC 49*
DAYTON, Ohio -- Steven Davis hit five 3-pionters and scored 27 points, Justin Mitchell added 17 points with six assists, and Wright State built a 21-point halftime lead to ease by UIC 87-49 on Sunday.

UIC made the first basket of the game but didn't score again until the 13:04 mark and trailed 12-5. The Flames were held to 5-of-23 shooting (21.7 percent), including 1 of 11 from distance, in the first half and turned it over eight times. Mark Alstork and Justin Mitchell each scored 10 points in the first half for Wright State en route to a 40-19 lead.

Alstork had 14 points, six rebounds and 10 assists for Wright State (20-11, 11-7 Horizon League). Grant Benzinger added 12 points and nine rebounds.
