Crusader Women Fall Flat in Second Half, Lose 82-59 to RedHawks-- Box Score
A tilt that appeared destined for Crusader offensive watermarks quickly degenerated into an 82-59 defeat to Miami (OH) Wednesday at Millett Hall in Oxford.
The RedHawks transposed a 40-39 halftime deficit into a 23-point victory as the Brown and Gold managed just 19 second-half points. Miami's Hannah McCue erupted for 26 points and 15 rebounds, her second double-double of the season. The junior was 7-for-16 (43.8%) from three-point range as her 26 points represented a career high.

Hot Shooting Lifts Oakland Over Rochester College, 96-38-- Box Score
ROCHESTER, Mich. - Amy Carlton scored a game-high 15 points, while Nola Anderson added 14 points as Oakland defeated Rochester College, 96-38, in women's basketball action Wednesday evening in the Athletics Center O'rena. Four Golden Grizzlies finished with double-figure points as Oakland shot 46.6 percent (34-73) and moved to 3-0 at home this season.
Carlton tied a career-high with four 3-pointers to finish with a season-high in points. Anderson set a career-best with six field goals en route to tying a career-best in points. Sinclair Russell recorded her first double-digit scoring effort since March 9, 2013 and Elena Popkey went 4-for-5 from the floor to finish with 11 points.
The Golden Grizzlies outscored the Warriors 50-10 in points in the paint and held a 47-11 advantage in bench points. Oakland scored 37 points off of 31 forced turnovers with 19 steals. Every player that entered the game recorded at least one field goal for the Golden Grizzlies. Read more
Women Drop 79-76 Decision to Dayton-- Box Score
Tay'ler Mingo scored a career-high 32 points, including a three at the horn, but it wasn't enough as Dayton held on for a 79-76 decision over Wright State in women's basketball action Wednesday night at WSU's Nutter Center. Read more
Women's Basketball Upends SIUE, 63-52-- Box Score
CHICAGO – The UIC women’s basketball team (5-1) continued its strong defensive play Wednesday night in a 63-52 home victory over SIU-Edwardsville (2-4). The Flames are off to their first 5-1 start since the 2008-09 campaign and have won three straight matchups with the Cougars.
UIC held the Cougars to 37 percent shooting (17-of-45) and forced 22 SIUE turnovers. SIUE became the fifth UIC opponent to shoot under 40 percent this season.
The Flames picked up 13 steals and scored 19 points off SIUE turnovers. UIC is averaging 13.2 steals and forcing 21.7 turnovers per game. Read more
