Pipkorn and George claim Women's Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors

INDIANAPOLIS – Wright State sophomore Molley Pipkorn has been named the Horizon League Women’s Swimmer of the Week, while Milwaukee junior Kelsey George has claimed Women’s Diver of the Week honors for the period of Jan. 25-Jan. 31.

Pipkorn continued her torrid assault in the freestyle races this past weekend in a home win over Xavier.  The Hartland, Wis., native, won the 200- and 500-yard freestyle events in times of 1:53.79 and 5:04.32, respectively.  She now owns a 15-1 dual meet record in freestyle swims this season.  Pipkorn takes home her fourth honor of the season and the fifth of her career.

George racked up two event wins on Saturday in dual meet triumph at Western Illinois. The Middleton, Wis., native, notched wins from the one- and three-meter boards, scoring 253.80 and 262.51, respectively.  George collects her fifth award of the season and the fifth of her career.
