INDIANAPOLIS -- Cleveland State’s Danny Roberts and Youngstown State’s Bec Stafford are the Horizon League Men’s and Women’s Diver of the Week for Jan. 14-20.
Roberts, a freshman from Fairview, Pa., took home top honors in all three diving events he competed in this weekend. The three-time diver of the week this season won the 1-meter (278.95) and 3-meter (292.95) events in Cleveland State’s dual-meet win over Wright State on Saturday. In Friday’s close dual-meet loss to Notre Dame, Roberts won the 1-meter dive with a score of 326.03.
Stafford, a freshman from Brisbane, Australia, swept the diving events in Youngstown State’s meet against Cleveland State and Wright State. She won the 1-meter event by 12.65 points with a score of 258.85. She won the 3-meter dive by 41.45 points with a score of 286.45. Her three-meter score was a career-high, besting her previous mark by 28 points.
