INDIANAPOLIS – Seven Horizon League men’s soccer teams compete in their fourth weekend of competition. The conference has an overall record of 19-14-12 with Milwaukee ranked No. 5 and Valparaiso ranked No. 10 in the NSCAA Great Lakes poll.

Friday, Sept. 20 Schedule:

1:00 p.m. – Buffalo at Detroit
6:00 p.m. – Green Bay at Eastern Illinois
8:00 p.m. – Valpo at Tulsa
8:00 p.m. – Northern Kentucky at Wright State
8:30 p.m. – Gonzaga at UIC

Sunday, Sept. 22 Schedule:

11:00 a.m. – Canisius at Detroit
1:00 p.m. – Buffalo at Cleveland State
1:00 p.m. – Green Bay at NJIT
2:00 p.m. – Valpo at Western Illinois
2:30 p.m. – Milwaukee at Western Michigan
3:00 p.m. – IPFW at UIC

Milwaukee Panthers
2:30 p.m. – Milwaukee at Western Michigan (Sept. 22)

For the first time since 1996, the Milwaukee men’s soccer team, ranked No.5 in the NSCAA Great Lakes poll and receiving votes in the National NSCAA poll, remains unbeaten (5-0-1) through six games as they take on Western Michigan in weekend competition. The Panthers carry an all-time winning record against the Broncos, having won seven of the past nine.

Detroit Titans
1:00 p.m. – Buffalo at Detroit (Sept. 20) | 11:00 a.m. – Canisius at Detroit (Sept. 22)

Detroit’s men’s soccer team will play its third consecutive Friday-Sunday match coming off of its first two losses of the season in the Missouri State Men’s Soccer Tournament. The Titans (0-2-3) will meet Buffalo for the 10th time in program history, leading the all-time series 6-2-1. Detroit also leads the all-time series against Sunday’s matchup Canisius, despite losing 4-2 the last time the two teams met.

Green Bay Phoenix
6:00 p.m. – Green Bay at Eastern Illinois (Sept. 20)| 1:00 p.m. – Green Bay at NJIT (Sept. 22)

Green Bay competes in the University of Evansville ProRehab Aces Soccer Classic this weekend, featuring four teams including Eastern Illinois, NJIT and Evansville. The Phoenix are 3-2-1 on the season as they venture out for five consecutive away matches. Sam Krenzien (Wauwautosa, Wis.) leads the team with 10 points on a team-best four goals and two assists, and Lawrence Talery (Coon Rapids, Minn.) has a team leading three assists in addition to two goals.

Valparaiso Crusaders
8:00 p.m. – Valpo at Tulsa (Sept. 20) | 2:00 p.m. – Valpo at Western Illinois (Sept. 22)

The Crusaders look to continue the program’s second-longest undefeated start to begin a season as they travel to #18/15 Tulsa to face their second top-25 team this year. Valparaiso remained ranked No. 10 in the NSCAA Great Lakes poll after a win over IUPUI last Friday, improving to 2-0-3 overall. The Crusaders finish up the weekend against Western Illinois, the Leathernecks hold the series advantage going into their 27th meeting.

Wright State Raiders
8:00 p.m. – Northern Kentucky at Wright State (Sept. 20)

Wright State men’s soccer is coming off of a scoreless tie against Ohio State Tuesday evening, leaving the team at 1-2-1 overall. In their lone game of the weekend, the Raiders host Northern Kentucky at Alumni Field. The game against the Norse will be streamed live on the HLN Network.

UIC Flames
8:30 p.m. – Gonzaga at UIC (Sept. 20) | 3:00 p.m. – IPFW at UIC (Sept. 22)

The UIC men’s soccer team gets set to welcome Gonzaga, IPFW and Wisconsin for the third annual UIC Soccer Classic this weekend.  Heading into Friday’s match against Gonzaga, UIC (3-2-0) is coming off of two shutout wins against Lipscomb and Belmont at the Belmont Invitational. Over the course of the two games, four different Flames got on the board and UIC looks to continue building the team’s depth Friday and Sunday.

Cleveland State Vikings
1:00 p.m. – Buffalo at Cleveland State (Sept. 22)

The Cleveland State men's soccer team (3-4-0) carries on regular season play when the Vikings continue their four game home stand at Krenzler Field. The Vikings dropped a pair of 1-0 matches at the Belmont Invitational last weekend, falling to Belmont and Lipscomb. Cleveland State bounced back defeating Duquesne in a mid-week match Wednesday, tallying the Vikings third win of the year.
