As the microphone announced the players by name.
Now Julie! Now Golden! Now Hannah and Celeste!
On, Ritchie! On, Eichler! On Bauer and Tetsch!
To the top of the rim! To the top of the wall!
Now jump to the sky and rebound that ball!
And then, in a heartbeat, the game began,
With all our adrenaline, up the court we ran.
As I called the play from our team's huddle,
Our execution was far, far from subtle.
Baskets were traded and points were scored,
Our team got a steal and the mighty crowd roared!
They cheered us right on to an impressive victory,
So happy, satisfied, and tired were we.
Now onto the conference season this Saturday,
Where we travel to Ohio, for two games to play.
Now I cannot leave without finishing this right,
