INDIANAPOLIS -- UIC senior midfielder Ivan Stanisavljevic (Belgrade, Serbia) is the Horizon League Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Green Bay senior goalkeeper Ryan Wehking (St. Louis, Mo.) has earned Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Aug. 20-26. The award is the first of Wehking’s career, while Stanisavljevic collects the honor for the fourth time.

UIC (1-1-0) rebounded from a 2-1 loss at DePaul to collect a 2-0 victory at Ohio State, with Stanisavljevic collecting points in each match. Against the Blue Demons, Stanisavljevic assisted on what was the equalizing goal, sending a corner kick into the box, where Zach Kaleta finished for the Flames.

The 2011 Horizon League Offensive Player of the Year clinched UIC’s win over Ohio State, capitalizing on the counter attack in the 83rd minute with an unassisted goal.

Wehking set a Green Bay record in leading the Phoenix to a 1-1 opening weekend. In the season-opening match versus Northern Kentucky, the senior shut out the visiting Norse for his 20th career shutout, a Green Bay record. The mark presently ranks ninth in Horizon League history.

The MVP of the 2009 Horizon League Tournament, Wehking turned aside seven Marquette shots in a 1-0 loss to the Golden Eagles on Sunday. On the weekend, Wehking made nine saves.

UIC will be the third Horizon League team to take on Marquette, venturing to Milwaukee on Friday, Aug. 31 for an 8 p.m. ET match. Green Bay will play twice this weekend, hosting Northern Illinois at 8 p.m. ET on Friday before taking on Niagara on Sunday, Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. ET.

Top Offensive Performers for the Week:
Cristian Arboleda, Cleveland State (Fr., M) - Just 11 minutes into his first collegiate match, scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win at Robert Morris.
Pat Lepera, Detroit (Sr., M) - Potted two goals to lead Detroit to a 3-0 win over IPFW.
Kirby Allen, Green Bay(So., M) - Scored the game-winning goal against Northern Kentucky, capitalizing on a defensive miscue.

Top Defensive Performers for the Week:
Zach Ellis-Hayden, Cleveland State (Jr., D) - Assisted on the Vikings’ first goal of the match while keying a defense that shut out Robert Morris, holding the Colonials to six shots on goal.
Declan Rodriguez, Milwaukee (Fr., D) - Scored goals in his first two collegiate matches, giving Milwaukee a 2-1 lead over Marquette before heading in the equalizer against Northern Kentucky.
Piotr Kikolski, UIC(Jr., GK) - Made eight saves in UIC’s 2-0 win at Ohio State, including five in the first half to preserve the Flames’ one-goal lead.
Kyle Zobeck, Valparaiso(Sr., GK) - Posted his 19th career shutout, moving into a tie for 10th in Horizon League history, in Valparaiso’s 0-0 draw at Michigan State.
