A balanced scoring attack that featured four players in double figures helped lead Milwaukee (2-0) to a hard-fought 71-65 victory over Lipscomb tonight at the Leavey Center in the second day of action at the Cable Car Classic. With the win, the Panthers improve to 2-0 for the first time since 2011-12.

Vikings Drop Season Opener to Akron, 65-53
Andre Yates scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Demonte Flannigan added 11 points and eight rebounds, but Cleveland State dropped its season opener, 65-53, on Saturday night at the MAC Center.

The Wright State men's basketball team led by 14 early in the second half and was up one with 1:20 remaining, only to see Cal State Northridge score nine of the game's final 12 points to pull out a 72-67 decision Saturday night at the NIU Showcase in DeKalb, Illinois.

The Youngstown State men's basketball team trailed by as many as 13 points in the second half and cut the deficit to two, but dropped a tough 79-70 decision to Kent State on Saturday evening at the M.A.C. Center.
