Visiting Milwaukee (3-0) used a 21-5 second-half run to erase a six-point deficit and take control of the game en route to a 71-65 victory over Santa Clara (0-3) this afternoon at the Cable Car Classic at the Leavey Center. The win made the Panthers champions of the Cable Car Classic, marking the second in-season tourney they have claimed in as many seasons.
Early Run Buoys Crusaders to Big Win Over Iona
The Valparaiso University men’s basketball team made an early-season statement in a meeting between two of the nation’s top mid-major teams on Sunday, as the Crusaders started their showdown with Iona at the ARC on an 18-2 run and never looked back, eventually winning 83-58.
WSU Falls at Northern Illinois
The Wright State men's basketball team led by eight at the half, but was held to 20 points in the second half as Northern Illinois scored the final six points for a 65-59 decision Sunday at the NIU Showcase in DeKalb, Illinois.
