League-leading Valparaiso notched its 20th win of the season, shooting 51 percent from the field against Cleveland State and improving to 10-2 in Horizon League play. Northern Kentucky put four players in double-figures and held off a second-half rally from Green Bay to earn a split in the season series. Wright State received 22 points from Mark Alstork and 21 from Grant Benzinger in its win against Milwaukee to keep pace in the league standings. UIC edged Youngstown State, 84-81, behind Dominique Matthews’ 28 points. Cameron Morse of Youngstown State scored a UIC Pavilion record 44 points.

at Valparaiso 78, Cleveland State 57*
VALPARAISO, Ind. (AP) -- Shane Hammink scored 15 points and Valparaiso collected its 20th win of the season and its 10 Horizon League victory with a 78-57 romp past Cleveland State on Thursday night.

The Crusaders bounced back after having an eight-game win streak snapped by an 86-69 loss to Green Bay on Saturday, and picked up their seventh-straight victory over the Vikings and their 11th in their last 13 meetings.

Valpo (20-5, 10-2) wasted little time getting back on track, racing to a 20-point halftime lead, 44-24.

at Northern Kentucky 69, Green Bay 67*
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) -- Cole Murray scored 17 points, including five 3-pointers, and Northern Kentucky hung on for a 69-67 win over Green Bay on Thursday night.

Drew McDonald, Jeff Garrett and Brennan Gillis added 10 points apiece for Northern Kentucky (16-9, 7-5 Horizon), which was held scoreless over the final 2:53 but got a key turnover with five seconds left to clinch the win.

Green Bay (15-10, 9-4) trailed by as much as 17 in the first half but kept chipping away, cutting the gap to 63-61 with Kerem Kanter's layup with 5:16 left and pulling to within two twice more down the stretch.

at Wright State 76, Milwaukee 65*
The Wright State men's basketball team shot 62 percent in the second half to expand on a three-point advantage and defeat Milwaukee 76-65 in Horizon League action Thursday night at Wright State's Nutter Center.

A pair of Mark Alstork threes and a Grant Benzinger jumper gave the Raiders a quick 8-0 lead and the lead grew to 19-8 following a layup and three by Steven Davis.

at UIC 84, Youngstown State 81*
Youngstown State’s (10-16, 4-9 Horizon League) Cameron Morse scored a UIC Pavilion record 44 points, but UIC (13-12, 6-6 Horizon League) got a career-high 28 points from redshirt freshman Dominique Matthews and the Flames outlasted the Penguins Thursday night, 84-81.
