Volleyball Academic All-League Team Announced; 13 Student-Athletes Honored

Indianapolis - The Horizon League announced the Academic All-League Team for volleyball with a total of 13 student-athletes being recognized for their work in their sport and in the classroom. A faculty athletics representative from each school casted their vote by ballot in deciding who would be awarded Academic All-League honors.

Six of the nine schools were represented on the Academic All-League Team with Northern Kentucky topping the charts with four student-athletes in Taylor Snyder, Haley Libs, Tristen Simpson, and McKenzie Eskridge. Green Bay had three student-athletes recognized with Megan Powers, Lydia DeWeese, and Taylor Totka representing the Phoenix. Cleveland State and Valparaiso each had two players honored with Grace Kauth and Shannon Grega highlighting the Vikings while Katherine Carlson and Rachel Bruinsma were featured for the Crusaders. Rounding out the list, Katie Klusman (Wright State) and Lauren Blanco (Youngstown State) both earned their spot on the team.

The Horizon League recognizes student-athletes with seasonal Academic All-League Teams in each of its 19 championship sports. To be eligible for Academic All-Horizon League consideration, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.20 or higher (based on a 4.00 scale) and have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester-hour or 36 quarter-hour credits.
