Against the Lady Govs, Wright State shot 43 percent from the field and went 10-for-32 from three-point range. Facing Lipscomb, the Raiders went down by seven early but gradually closed the scoring gap after a 10-0 run in the closing minutes of the first half.

Mingo continued her offensive prowess Sunday tabbing 30 points while going 12-for-21 in field goals. Mingo’s 30-point performance was one short of her career best that she set in last season’s Horizon League Championship game.

Youngstown State made its debut Saturday night at home against Niagara, winning 83-61. The Penguins got off to a quick start in the contest with 21 points in the first six minutes. The squad shot 50.8 percent from the field and led by double digits for a majority of the contest.

Arbanas paced Youngstown State in the contest with a game-high 25 points after going 8-for-9 from the field. Arbanas went 5-for-5 from three-point range and is the first Penguin player to go 5-for-5 for three-pointers in 18 years.  Her 25 points also marks the most points scored by a Youngstown State freshman in the school’s Horizon League era. In her 35 minutes on the court, the freshman added three assists and two rebounds to wrap up her stellar performance.
