Wright State senior outfielder Tristan Moore has been named the CollegeBaseballInsider.com National Player of the Week after hitting .625 (10-of-16) in four games last week with three home runs, 14 RBI, 11 runs scored and had an on-base percentage of .700.

He also received a similar honor as he was named one of the Louisville Slugger Players of the Week by baseballnews.com and was named to the College Baseball Hall of Fame's National All-Star Lineup, which recognizes the previous week's outstanding performances.

In a 5-2 win at Xavier on April 3, he was 4-of-5, including a three-run home run in the seventh that broke a 1-1 tie and gave the Raiders the lead for good.

In a 32-4 decision over Youngstown State at Nischwitz Stadium on April 5, a contest that saw Wright State set a school record for runs in a game, Moore was three for four, including a pair of two-run home runs and a two-run double, with three walks and six runs scored. He then went two for three in the second game of the series against the Penguins on April 6 while driving in five and scoring three times as WSU won 18-2.

The Raiders won the final game of the series 8-2 on April 7 as Moore was one for four with a stolen base and a run scored.

For the season, Moore leads the team with a .385 batting average and leads the squad with 31 runs scored. He is also second or tied for second in hits (44), home runs (4), RBI (28) and walks (13).

He currently has a 21-game hitting streak, has had 12 multi-hit games in 2012 and has hit safely in all but four games this season overall.
