The Green Bay (23-3, 12-3) women’s basketball team continued to take care of what they need to in these final two weeks of the regular season, winning. The Phoenix beat Valparaiso (7-19, 4-11) 69-44 putting it in a tie with Butler for first place in the Horizon League standings.

The Youngstown State men’s basketball team suffered its fourth straight heartbreaking defeat dropping a 76-73 contest to Wright State on Thursday night at the Beeghly Center. YSU tied the game with 17.8 seconds left on a layup by Vytas Sulskis. The Raiders went right back up the floor and Troy Tabler’s deep 3-pointer with 0.5 seconds left was the game-winner.
