2011 Horizon League Women's Basketball Championship Begins

The first round of the 2011 Horizon League women's basketball championship tips off tonight with No. 7 Detroit hosting No. 10 Valparaiso and No. 8 Loyola hosting No. 9 Youngstown State.

The winners of tonight's games will advance to the quarterfinals on Wednesday.  The winner of the Valpo/Detroit game will travel to Indianapolis to face the No. 2 seeded Butler Bulldogs, while the winner of the Youngstown State/Loyola game will head to Green Bay to take on the top-seeded Phoenix.

The full schedule is as follows:

First-round – Monday, March 7

Quarterfinals – Wednesday, March 9
