Oakland Wins Close Affair Over UDM, 64-58, for MSHOF Cup and Metro Series Victory-- Box Score
ROCHESTER, Mich. - Elena Popkey scored 18 points and Zakiya Minifee added 14 as the Oakland women's basketball team (11-14, 5-7 HL) claimed a 64-58 victory over the University of Detroit Mercy (9-15, 4-7 HL) Wednesday night from the Athletics Center O'rena. With the win, the Golden Grizzlies claimed the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame Cup and two points in the Metro Series.

Popkey shot 8-of-12 from the floor including 2-for-3 from long range. Minifee finished with her season-high in points, the most points she has scored in a game since Dec. 31, 2011. Olivia Nash collected her ninth double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Up 57-55 with less than a minute to play, Popkey would make it a two-possession game by hitting a 3-pointer in the corner with 36 seconds remaining. After a UDM missed free throw, Oakland would grab three offensive rebounds in one possession before Nash was fouled with 19 seconds on the clock. Nash and Peyton Apsey would combine to go 4-for-4 from the free throw line down the stretch to give the Golden Grizzlies the six-point victory. Read more

Titans Comeback Just Falls Short At Oakland In #MetroSeries Match-Up-- Box Score
ROCHESTER, Mich. (2/18/2015) -- The University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team cut a 20-point Oakland lead down to just one, but the second-half rally came up short as the Titans were downed, 64-58, by the Golden Grizzles on Wednesday in a Metro Series showdown.

Detroit and Oakland branded the annual rivalry called the Metro Series, driven by Trinity Transportation, which will be awarded to the school with the most head-to-head victories over the course of the academic year. Separated by just 26 miles, Detroit and Oakland are the only Division I schools located in the Metro Detroit area and are both members of the Horizon League. With the win, the Metro Series is now all tied up at 8-8.

Redshirt sophomore Rosanna Reynolds led all scorers with 26 points on 10-of-20 shooting. Freshman Brianne Cohen had six points and a team and season-high 10 rebounds and freshman Darianne Seward tallied eight points and four assists. Read more

Second Half Run Gives CSU 67-63 Victory Over Wright State-- Box Score
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team used a 14-0 run late in the second half to secure a 67-63 victory over Wright State Wednesday evening. With the win the Vikings are now 15-9 overall and 7-4 in Horizon League action, while Wright State falls to 19-7 overall and 8-4 in league play.

Once again the Vikings were led offensively by the senior trio of Cori Coleman, Imani Gordon, and Kiersten Green who knocked down 49 of Cleveland State's 67 points. Green had a team-high 23 points – her fourth 20-point game of the season – while Coleman tallied 16 points and Gordon notched 10. Green and Coleman both converted four three-pointers, while Gordon also tallied a shot from behind-the-arc, giving CSU nine for the contest.

For just the third time during league play, the Vikings were able to go into the halftime break with the advantage, as CSU held a 29-28 lead after the first 20 minutes of play. Read more

Women Fall at Cleveland State-- Box Score
The Wright State women's basketball team led by nine with six minutes to play, only to see Cleveland State close the game with a 22-9 run as the Vikings pulled out a 67-63 decision Wednesday night at the Wolstein Center. Read more
