Green Bay Crushes South Dakota State, Dec. 9 Recap

BROOKINGS, SD. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay women’s basketball team found itself in Brookings, S.D., this evening for a highly anticipated meeting between the top two mid-major programs in the country. Green Bay dominated its way to victory at the Frost Arena, downing South Dakota State 67-43.

The matchup was as advertised in the first quarter of play, as the two teams battled defensively and were separated by only a point at the end of the first, as the Jackrabbits led 10-9. The Phoenix, however, saw to it that the lead would be short-lived, taking control in the second quarter and ending the half with a 12-2 run to lead 27-16.
