Murray State 72, Northern Kentucky 69 OT

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's basketball trailed Murray State for 36 minutes in regulation, but pushed the overtime period on Saturday afternoon. A last second 3-point shot by Kasey Uetrecht that would have forced a second overtime bounced off the rim as the Norse fell by three, 72-69. With the setback, NKU falls to 2-7 on the season, while Murray State advances to 5-4.

Western Michigan 75, Detroit Mercy 65

DETROIT (12/10/2016) -- Four Titans scored in double figures Saturday afternoon, but the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team fell at home to visiting Western Michigan University by a 75-65 margin from Calihan Hall.

Junior forward Brianne Cohen led Detroit Mercy (4-6) with 17 points and seven rebounds, while senior Rosanna Reynolds tallied her eighth double-digit effort of the season with 16 points. Junior Nicole Urbanick added 15 points and sophomore Lola Ristovski posted a season-high 10 points off the bench for the Titans.

Notre Dame (OH) 66, Cleveland State 51 

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team dropped a 66-51 contest against Notre Dame (OH) Saturday afternoon, falling to 4-5 on the season. The Vikings will now take a week off from competition, returning to action at Bucknell on Sunday, December 18.

Grace (IN) 49, Valparaiso 71 

The Valparaiso University women’s basketball team dispatched Grace College 71-49 on Saturday afternoon at the Athletics-Recreation Center. The Crusaders improved to 5-4 on the season, achieved their best nine-game start since 2005-2006 and equaled their best nine-game start since 1999-2000. Valpo was led in scoring by Dani Franklin (Cedar Rapids, Iowa / George Washington) and Amber Lindfors (Elk Grove Village, Ill. / Elk Grove), who poured in 17 points apiece.

Fort Wayne 61, UIC 55 

Four Flames scored in double figures, and UIC shot 50% in the second half, but they couldn't get points on key possessions down the stretch and fell to Fort Wayne, 61-55 Saturday at the Flames Athletic Center.

Melita Emanuel-Carr played only four minutes in the first half due to foul trouble but made up for lost time in the third quarter.  She hit back to back 3-pointers out of the gate as UIC chipped away at an 11 point halftime deficit.  Later, she went coast to coast for a layup, then got a contested offensive rebound and laid it in to total 12 points in the quarter.

Youngstown State 60, Kent State 75

Kent State ended the third period on a 12-4 run and carried the momentum into a big fourth quarter to beat the Youngstown State women's basketball team 75-60 at the M.A.C. Center on Saturday evening.

The Penguins led 46-41 following a Mary Dunn basket with 6:06 left in the third period. YSU didn't score again for more than four minutes as Kent State scored 10 straight points, and the Golden Flashes went into the final period leading 53-50. Kent State then scored the first even points of the fourth to go up 60-50, and YSU got no closer than eight.
