Kerem Kanter scored 17 points and secured nine rebounds for the Phoenix. Oakland held off Cleveland State, 53-51, in a defensive battle to complete a weekend road sweep. Northern Kentucky got 20 points from Drew McDonald, including four free throws in the final seconds to edge Wright State, 83-79. UIC and Milwaukee combined for 205 points in an overtime thriller. The Flames scored 20 points in the extra frame to pull out a five-point win. Corey Allen hit six 3-point shots and had a game-high 27 points as Detroit Mercy completed a season sweep of Youngstown State.

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. (AP) -- Kerem Kanter scored 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds, Charles Cooper scored 15 points off the bench, and Green Bay beat Valparaiso 86-69 on Saturday, ending the Crusaders' eight-game win streak.
Turner Botz added 12 with four 3-pointers, Warren Jones also scored 12, Kenneth Lowe added 11 points, and Tevin Findlay had seven assists for the second-place Phoenix (15-9, 9-3 Horizon), who are now a half-game behind the Crusaders (19-5, 9-2).
The Phoenix extended a nine-point halftime lead to 23 with 10:37 left in the second half. They dominated the boards 53-32, getting 17 second-chance points off of seven offensive rebounds, and outscored the Crusaders 38-30 in the paint.

Oakland 53, at Cleveland State 51*
CLEVELAND (AP) -- Martez Walker's layup with 1:20 left in the game gave Oakland the lead and Demonte Flannigan missed a layup at the buzzer as the Golden Grizzlies held on for a 53-51 win at Cleveland State on Saturday afternoon.
Flannigan gave the Vikings the lead with a layup with 1:44 left, 51-50. Sherron Dorsey-Walker missed a jumper for the lead, but teammate Isaiah Brock grabbed the offensive rebound and fed Walker for the layup and a 52-51 advantage.
Dorsey-Walker missed a 3-pointer with :33 left, but hit the first of two free throws with :17 remaining to set the final score.

UIC 105, at Milwaukee 100 (OT)*
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Tarkus Ferguson scored 12 of his career-high 25 points in overtime, Dominique Matthews scored a career-high 23 with four 3-pointers, and UIC beat Milwaukee 105-100 on Saturday, ending a four-game skid.
Ferguson's jumper, two free throws and 3-pointer put UIC up 92-87 in OT. Cody Wichmann hit a jumper, Brock Stull added two free throws and Milwaukee closed to 92-90, but UIC pulled away 98-93 on Matthews' 3-point play.
Milwaukee closed to 98-95 on Stull's jumper with 41 seconds left, but Michael Kolawole and Ferguson each made two free throws. Wichmann's 3 made it a four-point game, but Ferguson made three out of four from the line to ice it before Milwaukee scored at the buzzer.

Northern Kentucky 83, at Wright State 79*
HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Drew McDonald scored eight of NKU's final 13 points on Saturday night to help the Northern Kentucky men's basketball team secure an 83-79 road victory over Wright State at the Nutter Center.
The game saw 10 ties and 14 lead changes as no team ever led by more than seven points. Northern Kentucky maintained the lead throughout the final eight minutes of the game, but Wright State stayed within five points and cut the NKU lead to two points with 59 seconds remaining.

Detroit Mercy 90, at Youngstown State 80*
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (2/4/2016) -- Freshman Corey Allen lit up the scoreboard for a game-high 27 points and junior Jaleel Hogan muscled his way to a double-double as the University of Detroit Mercy men's basketball team cruised past Youngstown State, 90-80, on Saturday night at the Beeghly Center.
Allen knocked down six 3-pointers for the second-straight game as he finished 10-of-16 overall from the field with three rebounds and three assists. Hogan tallied 22 points and a career-best 12 rebounds to go with two big blocks and sophomore Josh McFolley ended with 18 points and a game-high and career-tying five steals.
