INDIANAPOLIS – Oakland’s Isaiah Brock has been named both Horizon League Player and Freshman of the Week after leading the Golden Grizzlies to a pair of road wins with double-doubles in both games. The freshman from Baltimore shot nearly 79 percent from the floor and averaged 14 rebounds per game, including a Horizon League season-high 18 rebounds at Youngstown State, and grabbed a combined 12 offensive rebounds for the week. He also averaged 15 points and blocked five shots. Brock is the first player to be named both player and freshman of the week since the league began naming a weekly newcomer in the 2012-13 season.
