Green Bay swept its Horizon League-opening road trip to start the league season 2-0 for the fourth consecutive season. Oakland (12-3, 2-0) held its home court, using an early second-half run to break a halftime tie and pull away from Northern Kentucky (10-5, 1-1). Wright State (10-5, 1-1) leveled its league record at Detroit Mercy, while Cleveland State outlasted Milwaukee in a game between squads that both played overtime games Thursday night.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Charles Cooper came through big off the bench for the second straight game and his team dished out a season-high 25 assists on Saturday afternoon, as Green Bay knocked off Youngstown State 90-77 at the Beeghly Center.
Green Bay made it two consecutive road wins in Horizon League play, something last year's team did not accomplish. The Phoenix has now started 2-0 in league play in each of the last four seasons.

at Oakland 76, Northern Kentucky 65*
ROCHESTER, Mich. (AP) -- Martez Walker scored 21 points, Jalen Hayes had 18 points and eight rebounds, and Oakland beat Northern Kentucky 76-65 on Saturday.
It was tied at 35 at halftime and Hayes made a basket at the 14:44 mark to give Oakland the first double-digit lead of the game for either team at 50-40. The Golden Grizzlies lead didn't drop below five points the rest of the way and their advantage hit 14 with 40 seconds left.

Wright State 85, at Detroit Mercy 72*
Wright State won its 10th game of the season and evened its Horizon League record with an 85-72 win at Detroit Mercy Saturday afternoon. Steven Davis led the Raiders (10-5, 1-1) with 22 points and Mike La Tulip added 14 off the bench, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range.
Detroit Mercy was paced by freshman guard Corey Allen’s game-high 23 points.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State overcame a slow start to shoot 54-percent from the field and claim a 62-53 win over Milwaukee on New Year's Eve in the Wolstein Center. CSU improved to 5-9 overall and 1-1 in the Horizon League, while the Panthers fell to 4-11 overall (0-2 HL).
