INDIANAPOLIS -- Green Bay junior forward Heidi Hartmann (Plymouth, Minn.) is the Horizon League Women’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, while Oakland sophomore goalkeeper Stephanie Bukovec (Toronto, Ontario) has earned Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 15-21.

Hartmann scored three goals in two games for Green Bay last week to earn her second Offensive Player of the Week honor of the season. She began the scoring in GB’s 4-0 win over Northern Illinois, scoring on a header in the 28th minute. She closed the scoring by scoring off another header in the 72nd minute. In the Phoenix 2-1 win over Western Illinois on Sunday, Hartmann once again used her head, scoring in the 15th minute to tie the match at one. The junior from Plymouth, Minn., now has 10 goals on the season, the most in the Horizon League and the most by a Green Bay player since the 2006 season.

Bukovec earned the Defensive Player of the Week nod after recording a League-best 12 saves last week. She recorded a career-high nine saves on Friday night as Oakland tied Kent State, 1-1. On Sunday, she rebounded from an early goal to shut out St. Francis (Pa.) the rest of the way as the Golden Grizzlies won, 4-1. It was the first career win for Bukovec.
