INDIANAPOLIS- Green Bay senior, Mehryn Kraker has been selected as Horizon League Player of the Week and Youngstown State's Morgan Brunner has been tabbed as Horizon League Freshman of the Week, respectively.

Kraker led Green Bay in points each of the team’s two games. In their tilt against Detroit Mercy, the senior tallied 14 points, five rebounds and five assists as the Phoenix edged out the Titans. The guard had a particularly strong shooting performance in Green Bay’s defeat over Oakland. In 32 minutes of play, Kraker shot 12-15 from the field hitting all three triples attempted for 29 points. Additionally, the senior tacked on three rebounds, three assists and two steals to help Green Bay to a 6-0 start in Horizon League play.

This award is Kraker’s second Player of the Week honor of the season and the third in her career.

Morgan Brunner / Youngstown State / Freshman / Guard / Wheeling, West Virginia

In her first two career starts, Brunner averaged 18.5 points in 33.5 minutes of action lifting the Penguins to two wins. Against UIC, the walk-on freshman totaled 20 points and eight rebounds in her debut as a starter. Just two days later, the native of Wheeling, W. Va., scored 17 points, grabbed five boards and dished out four helpers versus Valparaiso. For the week, the guard shot 13-24 from the field including 10-17 from behind the arc.

This marks the first Freshman of the Week honor for Brunner.
