Wright State 73, Oakland 61
A 29-12 second quarter gave the Wright State women's basketball team a 24-point halftime lead en route to a 73-61 Horizon League victory at Oakland Monday afternoon.
After scoring the final five points of the opening period to go up 16-9, the Raider offense broke the game open over the final 7:29 of the second stanza, outscoring the Golden Grizzlies 25-8 to take a 45-21 halftime lead. 11 of those 25 points came from Mackenzie Taylor as WSU hit nine of 15 shots in the quarter, including four of six three-pointers, and made all seven free throw attempts.

Northern Kentucky 49, Detroit Mercy 57
DETROIT (1/16/2017) -- Junior Nicole Urbanick tallied a game-high 20 points and senior Rosanna Reynolds surpassed the 1,500-point plateau for her career as the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team earned a 57-49 win over visiting Northern Kentucky on Monday at Calihan Hall.
With the win, Detroit Mercy (8-9 overall) improved to 4-2 in the Horizon League. The 49 points allowed by Detroit Mercy is the fewest allowed by the Titans during second-year head coach Bernard Scott's tenure. Detroit Mercy never trailed in the victory, improving to 4-2 at home this season.

Cleveland State 67, Youngstown State 92
The Youngstown State women's basketball team put together an impressive 40-minute peformance and sophomore Alison Smolinski sparkled offensively in a 92-67 win over Cleveland State on Monday night at the Beeghly Center.
Smolinski came off the bench to score a career-high 30 points and tie the school record by making eight 3-pointers. She joins Kelsea Newman (at Oakland on Nov. 28, 2015) and Kenya Middlebrooks (vs. Detroit on Jan. 26, 2012) as Penguins to make 8 3-pointers in a single contest.
