Milwaukee clinched a share of the Horizon League women’s soccer regular-season title, the fifteenth time in the last 16 seasons the Panthers have had at least a share of the conference regular-season crown.

Milwaukee 1, Valparaiso 0: Anna Smalley’s early goal held up as Milwaukee clinched a share of the Horizon League women’s soccer regular-season title with a 1-0 victory over defending champion Valparaiso. The Panthers, currently 7-0-0 in Horizon League play, can clinch the outright title and No. 1 overall seed with at least one point in their final two matches of the season.

Smalley’s goal came less than two minutes into the match, as she beat the keeper to a long ball played by Maria Stephans. Milwaukee’s defense made the lead hold up as Paige Lincicum earned a clean sheet with four saves. Read more…(link)

Oakland 1, Northern Kentucky 0: Alice Palmer scored her third goal in five games off assists from Joan Sieja and Nessa Ogbonna to give Oakland a win over Northern Kentucky at the Oakland Soccer Field. The 71st-minute goal pushed Oakland's unbeaten streak is now at seven games as they are 5-0-2 since Sept. 20 and have recorded three consecutive shutouts. Read more…(link)

Youngstown State 2, Detroit 1: Two first-half goals helped Youngstown State respond to Detroit, and the Penguins held on in the second half to collect their first conference win of the season, 2-1, over the Titans. Detroit struck first in the 16th minute, just less than six minutes later, Kyler Lum tied the match with a shot to the left corner from 20 yards out. In the 41st, Tyesha Kizer converted off of Lum’s corner kick to push the Penguins ahead. Read more…(link)

Wright State 2, Cleveland State 0: Wright State closed out the home portion of its schedule with a 2-0 win over Cleveland State at Alumni Field. The Raiders tallied both goals in the second half, striking in the 49th minute on Natalie Sedlock’s fourth of the year, converting off of Sarah Colvin’s corner kick. UIC 1, Green Bay 0: UIC held on to its 1-0 lead after Naomi Rushe scored in the first half to defeat Green Bay at Aldo Santaga Stadium. The win marked the third consecutive shutout for the Flames as they have now gone 3-1-1 in their last five games to pull within three points of the top six in the League standings with two regular-season matches remaining.
