INDIANAPOLIS – Milwaukee’s Diana Diel has been named the Horizon League Women’s Swimmer of the week and Youngstown State’s Casey Hill has earned Women’s Diver of the Week for Nov. 9-15.
Diel, a freshman from Delafield, Wis. set a pool record and won the 200 Individual Medley (2:07.15) at the Stevens Point Border Battle on Friday (Nov. 12). She also took first-place in the 100 Butterfly (57:93) and 100 Backstroke (58.89). Diel was a member of the winning 200 and 400 Freestyle relay teams along with the 200 and 400 Medley relay teams.
Hill, a sophomore from Bethlehem, Penn. won both diving events on Friday (Nov. 12) when Youngstown State hosted Bowling Green. She earned a 267.00 in the One-Meter dive while scoring 276.25 in the Three-Meter dive. Hill has won Diver of the Week honors for two consecutive weeks and three times on the season.
Youngstown State is back in action this weekend (Nov. 18-20) competing at the Radford Invitational. Milwaukee will take this week off and is scheduled to compete at the Hawkeye Invitational Dec 3-5 in Iowa City, Iowa.
