CHICAGO – The UIC men’s soccer team (5-3-2, 1-1-1 HL) came up short in its match against Detroit (5-4-1, 2-1-0 HL) Saturday night at Flames Field, as the Titans tied the game in the second half and scored the golden goal six minutes into overtime for a 2-1 (OT) win. Junior Jorge Alvarez scored the Flames’ lone goal in the 33rd minute for his fourth of the season.

They kept at it and stayed with it, got their goal to tie it and outplayed us from that point on." Read more
