DETROIT – The Horizon League and Olympia Entertainment today announced that single-session tickets are available within designated school fan blocks for the 2016 Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship from March 5-8 at Joe Louis Arena. Single-session tickets start at $15 per day for the four-day tournament set to be played in Detroit for the first time.

“The designation of school block sections will allow fans to cheer with their fellow supporters and proudly display their school pride,” said Tom Wilson, President and CEO of Olympia Entertainment. “We’re excited to bring college basketball back to Joe Louis Arena and we expect the school fan blocks to contribute to the great energy and atmosphere within The Joe throughout the duration of the tournament.”

The popular basketball tournament features all 10 league members: Cleveland State, Detroit, Green Bay, Milwaukee, Northern Kentucky, Oakland, UIC, Valparaiso, Wright State and Youngstown State. All nine games of the 2016 Horizon League Men’s Basketball Championship will be carried live on ESPN networks.

Each day serves as its own session, with fan re-entry allowed on the opening day of the tournament, Saturday, March 5. The first round will see four games contested, beginning at 12 p.m. ET. Sunday and Monday sessions will each feature two games ahead of Tuesday night’s championship at 7 p.m. ET.

Fans can purchase single-session tickets within fan blocks by visiting www.MotorCityMadness.HorizonLeague.com/tickets and clicking the respective university link or by calling the Joe Louis Arena Ticket Sales & Service Office at 313-471-7575.
