Flames Wrap Non-Conference Schedule with Win-- Box Score
CHICAGO - The UIC women's basketball team (10-3) concluded the non-conference portion of its schedule with a 104-26 home victory over Robert Morris-Springfield (3-11) Friday afternoon. The Flames scored the first 23 points of the contest and set the program record for widest margin of victory (78).

UIC also set program records for fewest points allowed (26), made field goals (47), assists (33), highest field goal percentage (.618) and tied the most points scored (104). UIC also scored 104 points against Chicago State on Nov. 29, 1993.

The Flames scored more points in the first half (55) than they have allowed over the last two games (54). UIC defeated Loyola, 63-28, Tuesday afternoon at the UIC Pavilion. Read more

Oakland Drops Tight Game at Dartmouth, 59-54-- Box Score
HANOVER, N.H. - Elena Popkey scored 20 points and Olivia Nash finished with a double-double as Oakland fell to Dartmouth, 59-54, in women's basketball action on Friday at Leede Arena. The Golden Grizzlies concluded non-conference play with a 6-7 record.

Popkey's 20 points is a season-high as she hit a season-best four 3-pointers. It is also her 10th career 20-point performance. Nash collected 12 points and 13 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season and 21st of her career. Nola Anderson added 11 points for her third-straight double-digit point performance.

The Golden Grizzlies trailed by five going into the second half and were able to keep the game tight, even tying the game at 49-49 on a Popkey layup, but were never able to take the lead. Down six points with five minutes to play, Anderson would score five points in six seconds to trail 55-54. Oakland continued to play tough but Dartmouth's Fanni Szabo sealed the game for the Big Green hitting a layup and two free throws in the final 30 seconds for the final tally. Read more

Big Second Half Lifts Cornell to 75-63 Win Over YSU-- Box Score
Ithica, N.Y. – Cornell shot 57 percent and outscored the Youngstown State women's basketball team by 16 in the second half in a 75-63 victory over the Penguins on Friday evening at Newman Arena.

The Big Red got 22 points on 11-of-13 shooting from Nicholle Aston, and Cornell had 27 assists on 33 field goals. Cornell, which improved to 8-5 this season, shot 62.1 percent in the second half and was 8-for-14 from 3-point range for the game. The Big Red were averaging 3.2 3-pointers per game and shooting 26.6 percent from distance coming into the contest.

Cornell outrebounded YSU 32-19 and held an 18-0 advantage in second-chance points. Read more
