Women's Basketball Remains Unbeaten At Home-- Box Score
CHICAGO - The UIC women's basketball team (9-3) won its 13th straight game at home Tuesday night with a 63-28 victory over Loyola Chicago (2-9). UIC is 7-0 at home this season and finished the 2013-14 campaign with six straight home victories. The Flames have outscored opponents by an average of 20.6 points in Chicago this season.

UIC is off to its best 12-game start in the Division I era (1981-present). The 2014 WBI Champions have won 13 out of their last 16 contests overall.

The Flames came within two points of setting the program record for fewest points allowed. UIC allowed 27 points against St. Clair C.C. on Jan. 4, 1980. The last time UIC allowed less than 40 points was Feb. 2, 2008 against Detroit (36) and Loyola's 28 points were the lowest since Nov. 24, 2000 when the Flames held South Alabama to 31. Read more

Panthers Unable To Dig Out Of Halftime Hole-- Box Score
MACOMB, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team played Western Illinois University evenly for the majority of the second half but could not overcome a cold-shooting opening 20 minutes in falling, 79-59, Tuesday evening at Western Hall.

"They are a good team," Milwaukee head coach Kyle Rechlicz said. "A lot of credit goes to them and the execution of their game plan. I thought that we actually played pretty well, we just didn't hit shots. When you shoot better from three-point range than your overall field goal percentage it's not really going to help you."

The Panthers (4-8), once again competing with just eight players suited up for the contest, had the lead down to 10 on a handful of occasions but could never get over the hump, with the Leathernecks (8-5) scoring 19 of the final 28 points of the night to earn the victory. Read more

YPSILANTI, Mich. (12/30/2014) -- Sophomore Haleigh Ristovski led four Titans in double figures and the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team erased a 15-point second-half deficit to send the game to overtime, but the red, white and blue could not complete the comeback falling 75-71 on Tuesday at Eastern Michigan.

Ristovski tied her career high with a game-best 20 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. Redshirt sophomore Rosanna Reynolds had 19 points and 10 boards for her third double-double in her career, while adding a team-high five assists. Freshman Darianne Seward netted 15 points with four rebounds and four assists and sophomore Minisha Frederick-Childress totaled 10 points and five rebounds.

Detroit (5-8) nailed 11 from long range and trailed by 15, 53-38, with 15 minutes left when it began to chip away. UDM would eventually tie it at 66-all off a Reynolds 3-pointer with two minutes left. Ristovski then hit a triple with a minute remaining to knot it at 69-69 and the game would go into overtime.
