GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The seeds continued to hold as the top four advanced after Wednesday night’s quarterfinals of the Horizon League Women’s Basketball Championship.  The tournament will resume tonight with Cleveland State and Butler playing in the first game, followed by Green Bay and Wright State.

No. 2 Butler routed Detroit, 64-38, in the quarterfinal on Wednesday advancing to the semifinals where it will face third-seeded Cleveland State.   

The Bulldogs clinched a postseason spot for the third consecutive year with the win and has gone to the WINT for the last two.

The Vikings advanced with a 61-58 win over UIC in the quarterfinals, picking up their eighth straight win, tying the second longest winning streak in school history.

In 2010, CSU defeated Butler, 66-57, for the championship title and a trip to the NCAA tournament.

Tipoff between the Vikings and Bulldogs is slated for 6:30 p.m. ET in Green Bay.  The winner will advance to the championship game against the winner of Friday's other semifinal between Green Bay and Wright State.

Top-seeded #13/11 Green Bay rolled past Loyola in the quarterfinal becoming the first team in program history to reach 30 wins in a season.   The Phoenix earned the right to host Friday’s semifinal against fourth-seeded Wright State.

After a nine point deficit in the second half, the Raiders pulled out a 63-58 win over Milwaukee to advance to the semifinal round.

This will be the second time in three years that Green Bay and Wright State meet in the semifinals of the tournament and the fifth time overall.

The Raiders and Phoenix meet on Friday at 9:00pm ET, following the Butler-Cleveland State game.

The winners of tonight’s games will square off on Sunday at 1pm ET at the Kress Center in Green Bay, Wis. for the championship crown and an automatic bid into the NCAA tournament.
