Crusader Women Suffer Road Defeat to Zips-- Box Score
Akron exploded for a 59-point second half en route to a 100-65 victory over Valparaiso Tuesday night at the James A. Rhodes Arena. The Zips' Anita Brown poured in a game-high 21 points on 10-of-12 shooting while Sina King contributed 19 points and 17 rebounds.

The Crusaders received an early harbinger when their first ten points were scored from five different players. Akron, on the other hand, was able to sit back and watch as King dominated the majority of the first half. The senior needed just 12 minutes and 20 seconds to notch her second double-double of 2013-14. Read more

Four Reach Double Figures in Women's Basketball's 69-54 Win Over Bucknell-- Box Score
Four Penguins scored in double figures as the YSU women's basketball team picked up an impressive 69-54 win over Bucknell on Tuesday night at the Beeghly Center.

Heidi Schlegel had 14 points, Janae Jackson had 13, Latisha Walker added 11 and Indiya Benjamin finished with 11 as the Guins improved to 4-0 on the season. Bucknell drops to 2-2 with the loss.

YSU held a 44-40 lead at the 16:23 mark of the second half before scoring 11 of the next 12 points to forge out to a 55-41 lead with 11:56 left in the contest. Read more
