Point Park 71, Youngstown State 84

The Youngstown State women's basketball team used a key 14-2 run in the third period to fight off Point Park on Wednesday morning for an 84-71 win at Beeghly Center in the Fourth Annual Chick-Fil-A Field Trip Game.

With the score tied at 47 with 5:22 remaining in the third period, the Penguins scored 14 of the next 16 points to go up 61-49 and grab control of what was a close battle with the NAIA Pioneers.

Northern Kentucky 58, Southern Mississippi 53

LAS VEGAS – Northern Kentucky women's basketball won its second-consecutive game to close out the Puerto Rico Classic-Las Vegas, taking down Southern Mississippi in a 58-53 decision. It marks the first time this season that the Norse have won two games in a row, and improves NKU's record to 4-8, while the Golden Eagles drop to 8-4.

Miami (OH) 57, Wright State 65

The Wright State women's basketball team used an 11-1 fourth quarter run to take the lead for good and went on to claim the Wright State Invitational Presented by Holiday Inn title with a 65-57 victory over Miami Wednesday afternoon at WSU's Nutter Center.

The Raiders trailed until an Emily Vogelpohl three in the final minute of the opening period made it 14-12.  WSU then started the second quarter with layups from Lexi Smith and Chelsea Welch and later extended the margin to 27-17 at the 5:15 mark on a layup by Antania Hayes.

Cleveland State 64, Bowling Green 56

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio –  A strong second half performance and a breakout game from freshman Jade Ely helped the Cleveland State women's basketball team claim a 64-56 victory over Bowling Green to close out non-league play Wednesday evening. The Vikings will now enter Horizon League play with a 5-6 record.

Detroit Mercy 66, Toledo 72

TOLEDO (12/21/2016) -- Senior guard Rosanna Reynolds became the seventh player in school history to surpass the 1,400-point plateau and went into second place on the career assists list, but the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team dropped its non-conference finale Wednesday night at Toledo, 72-66, from Savage Arena.

Junior Brianne Cohen led all scorers with 17 points, while adding a team-best seven rebounds for the Titans (4-7). Freshman Anja Marinkovic hit four 3-pointers and scored 12 points. Reynolds had 11 points and a team-high six assists, as she moved past former Titan standout Jocelyn Boyd and into second place in career assists with 452 total.
