Vikings Fall To Niagara On Health & Physical Education Day-- Box Score
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's basketball team dropped their first contest at home this season, falling to Niagara, 76-58. The Vikings now stand at 6-4 on the season, while Niagara is now 5-3.
Thursday's contest was Health & Physical Education day, with over 1,000 grade school kids in attendance, giving the Wolstein Center a very energetic atmosphere.
Cori Coleman led the Vikings with the third double-double of her career, posting 14 points and a career-high 11 rebounds, while Imani Gordon tallied a team-high 19 points.
After going into the halftime break trailing by six (31-25), the Viking offense struggled to get back on track during the second half, as Niagara went on to control play throughout the second stanza. Read more
Titans Buzz Through Delaware State, 74-52, For Coach Rademacher’s Record-Setting 94th Victory-- Box Score
DETROIT (12/18/2014) -- Redshirt sophomore Rosanna Reynolds led three Titans in double figures with a game-high 22 points and head coach Autumn Rademacher '97 made some history at her alma mater as the University of Detroit Mercy women's basketball team dominated Delaware State, 74-52, on Thursday evening at Calihan Hall.
The win was No. 94 in Coach Rademacher's career as she is now the winningest head coach in Titan history. Coach Rademacher played for the Titans from 1993-97 and is third in school history with 1,686 points. She earned MCC First Team honors in 1996 and again in 1997, and was a Second-Team, as well as an All-Newcomer Team honoree as a freshman in 1994. She also ranks fourth in career assists (439) and second in career 3-point field goals (201). She helped lead the Titans to a Horizon League postseason championship and a berth in the 1997 NCAA Tournament as a senior.
As a coach, she has led Detroit to a pair of 20-win seasons, a trip to the 2012 Horizon League Championship and WNIT - the first postseason action for UDM since 1997 – as well as the school's first postseason title since 1981 when the Titans won the WBI in 2013. Read more
