Vikings Use Balanced Effort To Pick Up 80-72 Victory At Morehead State-- Box Score
MOREHEAD, Ky. – The Cleveland State women's basketball team used a balanced effort Sunday afternoon, picking up an 80-72 victory at Morehead State. With the win, the Vikings improve to 7-4 on the season, while Morehead State falls to 4-8.

Kiersten Green led the Viking offense with a 22-point performance, while Imani Gordon and Cori Coleman both notched 15 points. Allison Mitchell was the final Viking in double-figures Sunday afternoon, tallying a career-high 10 points.

Gordon tallied her first double-double of the season, adding 10 rebounds to her 15 points, while Green added six rebounds and five assists to her line. Read more

Penguins Drop First Contest of Season at Pittsburgh-- Box Score
Pittsburgh, Pa. - The Youngstown State women's basketball team couldn't find the mark against Pittsburgh on Saturday at the Petersen Events Center as the Penguins lost 78-52 to the Panthers. It was the first loss of the season for YSU.

The defeat for the Penguins ends the second-best start to a season in school history. YSU (10-1) began the season with its best Division I start in school history and best overall start to a campaign since 1978-79 by winning 10 consecutive games.

On Saturday, it wasn't meant to be as the Panthers (8-3) used a big first-half run to seize control while the Guins kept battling but could not get back into the contest. Pittsburgh has now won seven straight home games. Read more

Women Fall to Purdue in BTI Championship Game-- Box Score
The Wright State women's basketball team could not get on track offensively Sunday, shooting just 22 percent as the Raiders fell to Purdue 70-46 in the BTI championship game in West Lafayette, Indiana. Read more

Panthers Deliver Second-Half Knockout Punch-- Box Score
MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team took over in the second half to claim a 69-47 victory over Chicago State University Sunday afternoon at the Klotsche Center.

The Panthers (4-6) used a decisive 17-0 scoring run after intermission to open up the game against the Cougars (2-9) and cruised from there.

"I actually had to call a timeout in the first few minutes of the second half to get our team refocused and re-motivated," UWM head coach Kyle Rechlicz said. "From that moment on, I felt like we were really locked in. We talk a lot with our team about having fun on the court and letting our defense being the reason we are having fun. I left like during that 17-0 run our team was really having fun out on the court. We moved the ball better and we were communicating on defense." Read more

Flames Drop Close Contest to Old Dominion, 61-55-- Box Score
LAS VEGAS - The UIC women's basketball team (8-3) concluded the Las Vegas Holiday Hoops Classic with a 61-55 loss to Old Dominion (7-3) Sunday night. The Flames rallied from nine down to take a 55-53 lead but the Lady Monarchs scored the final eight points of the contest.

ODU shot 42 percent (23-of-54) from the floor to become only the third UIC opponent to convert at least 40 percent of its field goals. The Lady Monarchs also sank 9-of-18 three-pointers, a UIC opponent season high.

The Flames were held to season-lows in free throws made (2), free throw attempts (3) and rebounds (29). ODU outrebounded UIC 39-29 to become only the third opponent to accomplish the feat. Read more
