INDIANAPOLIS -- UIC junior Ruvanna Campbell (Chicago, Ill.) is the Horizon League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week while Milwaukee’s Jenny Lindner (Niellsville, Wis.) is the Freshman of the Week for the week of Feb. 23-March 1 This is the second-straight weekly accolade for Lindner and second for Campbell this season.
UIC welcomed Milwaukee and Oakland this past week to the UIC Pavilion. On Wednesday versus Milwaukee, the Flames scored the game-winning basket on a putback by Kendyl Nunn to take the 72-70 victory. The team netted 51 percent of its field goals during the contest for its second highest mark this season. Over the weekend facing Oakland, UIC concluded its home slate with a 64-54 win to garner the team’s sixth conference victory on the year.
Campbell led the way for UIC in its two victories this week while averaging a double-double of 18 ppg and 14 rpg. The junior tabbed her 19th and 20th double-doubles this season with 10 points and 13 rebounds against the Panthers and 26 points and 15 boards facing the Golden Grizzlies. Campbell tallied six blocks on Saturday to garner her highest output of the season and second-highest of her career after blocking eight shots in last year’s WBI Championship game. During the two games, the junior compiled a .485 field goal percentage (16-of-33) and went 4-for-9 from the charity stripe.
Milwaukee rebounded after its midweek loss to UIC when the squad faced Cleveland State Saturday at the Klotsche Center. The Panthers scored 53 points in the second half of the contest en route to a 76-69 victory. Milwaukee was down by six-points at half time and took the lead for good with just under seven minutes remaining in the game.
Lindner posted impressive numbers for the Panthers throughout the week averaging 15.5 ppg and 9.0 rpg. The freshman slotted her second-career double-double in the victory over Cleveland State with 20 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. The contest marked Lindner’s second game with an output of 20-plus points. In the loss to UIC, she picked up 11 points and garnered six boards for the Panthers.
UIC takes on Wright State on Wednesday, March 4 at the Nutter Center for a 7:00 p.m. ET tip-off and remains on the road to face Cleveland State on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. ET. Milwaukee hosts Detroit Wednesday starting at 7:00 p.m. ET before its matchup against Wright State Saturday for a matinée contest.

Nola Anderson, Oakland (So., G): Scored 22 points in the game against UIC while grabbing eight rebounds.
Tesha Buck, Green Bay (So., G): Scored 15 points and posted a career-high of eight assists in the win over Oakland to clinch the Horizon League Regular Season outright title. Also collected 12 points, six rebounds and five assists in the win over Youngstown State.
Alexis Eckles, Cleveland State (So., G): Tallied 18 points and nine rebounds versus Valparaiso for her highest point total in conference games this season. Against Milwaukee she scored 16 points, six rebounds and three blocks while shooting 50 percent from the field.
Ashley Green, Milwaukee (Sr., F/G): Set the school record against Cleveland State with her fifth game of 30-plus points and is now ranked fourth on the Milwaukee all-time scoring list. Nearly posted a double-double facing UIC with 23 points and nine rebounds.
Rosanna Reynolds, Detroit (So., G): Scored 11 points in the contests against Wright State and Valparaiso. Facing the Raiders, the sophomore also grabbed six boards and four assists and tallied four boards and three assists at Valparaiso.
Breanna Stucke, Wright State (Sr., G): Against Detroit, scored 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to tab a double-double.
Top Freshmen of the Week:
Nicole Urbanick, Detroit (G): Led the Titans in scoring this week while tabbing a season-high of 17 points versus Valparaiso and going 4-of-5 from beyond the arc.
Jasmyn Walker, Valparaiso (F): For the week, averaged 14.5 ppg and 11.5 rebounds for the Crusaders and has tabbed five-straight double-doubles and eight throughout conference play.
