INDIANAPOLIS -- UIC senior Jasmine Bailey is the Horizon League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, for the period from Nov. 14-20, after scoring 85 points in the Flames three games last week.

On Tuesday, Bailey scored 30 points in UIC’s 69-54 win over Southeast Missouri. The senior shot 8-15 from the field, including 3-3 from three-point range, and was 11-15 from the foul line. Bailey also grabbed nine rebounds, passed out four assists and had two steals and two blocks.

Bailey scored 30 points again three nights later when UIC took down St. Louis, 68-60. The St. Louis, Mo., native shot 7-11 from the field and 16-19 from the free throw line as the Flames won despite not having the services of Preseason Horizon League second-team player Shamiea Green who was out with injury. Bailey also grabbed 10 rebounds to record her first double-double of the season and also had four assists, four steals and three blocks. She became the first player since 1995 to record back-to-back 30 point games for the Flames.

On Sunday, Bailey had her second consecutive double-double as she scored 25 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. She once again shot over 50 percent from the field, 8-13, and also made it to the free throw line 14 times, making nine.

For the week, Bailey averaged 28.3 points, 10.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.3 steals and 2.0 blocks.

Other Top Performers for the Week:
Julie Wojta, Green Bay (Sr., F) - Wojta averaged 22.5 points and 6.5 rebounds last week as the Phoenix improved to 3-0 on the year. Green Bay has now won 23 consecutive regular season games.
Monica Albano, Loyola (Jr., G) - Albano averaged 19.5 points and 6.5 rebounds as Loyola split a pair of games last week. She scored 23 points (7-9 FG, 7-7 FT) in the Ramblers 66-44 win at Southern Illinois.
Devin Brierly, Butler (Sr., G) - Brierly had a career-high 20 points on 7-8 shooting at IPFW.
Gina Lange, Valparaiso (Jr., F) - Lange had a career-high 15 points in Valpo’s loss to Rice.
Shareta Brown, Detroit (Fr., F) - Brown averaged 15.0 points and 9.5 rebounds last week. She shot over 50% from the field (11-21) and also had a team-high three steals in both games.
Takima Keane, Cleveland State (Sr., F) - Keane had 10 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals in CSU’s loss at Fordham.
