The Green Bay women’s basketball team moved up five spots to 18th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll released Tuesday.
The Phoenix, after opening the season ranked for the first time in program history, have started the season 3-0 with all three victories coming by at least 16 points. GB opened the season with an 82-59 road win over North Dakota State. They defeated Toledo, ranked fifth at the time in the Mid-Major top-25 poll, 84-68 in their home-opener last Wednesday and followed up that victory two days later with an 84-53 win over Eastern Michigan.
Green Bay will spend its Thanksgiving Holiday in San Juan, Puerto Rico where the Phoenix will face Illinois (2-3) Nov. 24 before battling 25th-ranked Georgia Tech (3-0) Nov. 26 in the San Juan Shootout. Both games will tip off at 5:30 p.m. ET.
